This Makes Me Smile
I was contacted today by Kristine, a blogger in Stockholm who has bought the Painted Owl Wallpaper I designed for Anthropologie. She got in touch to share with me how it looks in her apartment! I couldn't be more pleased, it looks great! This is my first taste of having my designs put into mass production and I'm really pleased with how it's all gone. Big smiles! See Kristine's blog here. Unfortunately I don't speak any Swedish but there's some lovely pictures! Many thanks to Kristine.

Gregor the Bear
I finished making this little cushion today. The bear was a test print from about 2 years ago. The floral was a sample which was too small for my degree show. So here they are stitched together forever in the form of a cushion! Available in my shop here.
Also added this wee card. It's the perfect boy card. Boys can be difficult, huh. Also available to buy here.

Pattern of Roses
I'm all over the floral patterns this week! Here's some colour ways I played around with today, I quite like the one at the bottom without the outline.

Brooch News
The word 'brooch' has started to look weird(er than normal) because I've spent the past few days making, packaging, photographing, selling, and now listing them on Etsy! They were pretty well received at the sale I did on Sunday, I had to start making more as I was sat there. So on that basis, I thought I'd give them a go online; they have their very own "Accessories" section in my shop ♥

Photo Update
I got around to scanning in some film snaps from Aug-Sept today. They're all on my Flickr. As usual, there's some interesting results as I am a self-proclaimed beginner/idiot when it comes to photography. But I'm learning.
ps: unfortunately my scanner isn't the best, but I suppose it doesn't really matter.
Christmas Cards 2010
I am currently taking pre-orders on my 2010 Christmas Cards through my Etsy shop. They come in a pack of 2 (one of each design) along with 2 white envelopes (of course).
The cards will be ready for shipping on 22nd October, so you can have them in plenty of time for Christmas! (especially if you are posting them overseas)
Here they are in my shop

Dress up
If you follow me on twitter, you may have noticed that around the weekend, all I can think about is Downton Abbey. I have always loved period dramas, but there's something about this one; how it's set in 1912 (or thereabouts) so attitudes are changing, dress is becoming more informal. It feels so current, yet at the same time it was 100 years ago, so of course the whole upstairs downstairs set up evokes a feeling of archaic upper class pomposity. Obviously, the story line has me hooked, but what I can't get enough of is the look of the whole series; the dresses, the jewellery, the colours, the scenery, the furniture, ahhh it's so gorgeous.

Yes so, roll on Sunday. And I'm very gad to hear a second series has been commissioned. Perfect Autumn viewing I think!
If anyone has found any better pictures online, please let me know. These are the best I could find!

Incoming
Also I have been embracing the Autumnal weather by staying indoors when it's raining and making these wee woollen brooches. I'll be selling them plus all my usual cards, bags, vests and prints at this weekends Afternoon Tea fundraiser at Inspire in Coventry. Proceeds are to help my friend Sherie do her bit for the charity New Hope Cambodia, so please do come along if you're nearby! See the facebook page for more info.
I only have one cream vest left in my Etsy shop - I thought they'd all gone but this one managed to pop up the other day. It's a size small so if you want it, grab it!
I did a couple of personalised hand-cut cards via Etsy, I'm glad to say they were very well received! :)
Lastly, I got some film back last week, and this picture really made me want Henderson's nachos (best ever) and miss everyone there in that cute wee job. sigh. And in Edinburgh altogether. moooo.
